Shahar is 6 Months Old Today!!

Shahar Update:
Already 1/2 a year behind us....Jeeeezzz, time flies when u don't sleep...it just seems like one loooonnnng day. Actually she is been pretty good about sleeping. She sleeps on the average of 10 hrs a night, one long nap in the morning and a short nap in the afternoon.
We had her 6 month check-up at "Tipat Halav" and the latest measurements are, Ht: 66.5cm, and Wt: 6.7 kilo's. That puts her in the 75th percentile for height, and the 25th percentile for weight... So i just figure she is going to be a knock-out...tall and slim!
She is trying to blow bubbles between her lips, and the most exciting news of all....SHE STARTED CREEPING FORWARD! She wanted an empty baby wipes wrapper and nothing was going to stop her. We buy so many toys, and in the end...she goes for the wrapper...go figure! Pretty exciting..it won't be long before we are chasing after her. Shahar is also turning around both ways, grabbing her toes, and has the most beautiful laugh!
We started her on solids this week, and it is going well. She of course is still mostly breastfed, but we started with carrots and tomorrow we will add zucchini...and soon enough she will be eating what we are eating.
SHE IS A JOY!!!!

Funny Face

(even in space you have to be fashionable, you never know who u will run into)
Today Shahar was a STAR at her swimming class. She was really trying to swim, paddling with her arms and legs trying to chase a ball, and laughing the whole time. It was such a pleasure today! I was in the pool with her today, so i think she was just trying to show off for mommy.
Noam is just the funniest person, and just goes on and on and says the funniest things....
"You only sit on chairs that are available" Translation .... "I pushed someone out of their chair at gan and this is what the teacher told me"
and...
"Good Morning My beautiful Shahar"
I ask her who does she love? and she says, "Abba, Eema, Shahar, Ouzo, Saba, ummmm .....I love everyone.
It is such a shame that one day I am not going to remember all these little things she says, because it just goes by SOOO fast!
It ain't easy bringing up these girls, but it sure is rewarding!!!

Shahar is 5 months old (+ 3 days)

Shahar is 5 months old and hitting all the milestones quite nicely. She turns over without a problem from her stomach to her back. She is also doing 360's on her stomach...but still can't scootch, although she is trying her hardest. Shahar can also sit quite steadily, but topples over the second we let her go. She loves to sit in her bouncer and put her feet up on the arch of toys and grabs both her feet. Swimming class is becoming a breeze for her, diving and kicking the ball with her legs has now become second nature. She is still only breastfed, but by the end of the month we will be trying solids, so we shall see how that goes. Boy Shahar sure does have her own personality...she has got some lungs on her....there is no middle ground...she goes from 0 to 10 in seconds. But she is all smiles most of the time. On average Shahar sleeps 10 hours a night, but just when we start thinking that's it, we can count on it...well then she suddenly wakes up every 5 hours screaming her head off. Of course like all parents, we blame it on teething, but we have yet to see a pearly white break through.
Noam is our little boss. Telling everyone what to do, how and when to do it. Every morning at 0600 hours she is on her feet and waking us up. It does not matter what time we put her to sleep she will be up like clock-work at the same time every morning. She loves Gan, and comes home and tells us all that she has done for the day, who she played with, who pushed her and who she pushed back. :-) They have an English lesson every Tuesday morning, and not to our surprise, Noam excels at that. Potty training is still an issue. She went 3 days with underwear, and then she asked for her diaper again. We are letting her take the lead, but it seems like a process that is never going to end. She sure has turned into a little lady and makes us laugh all the time. She is our sunshine!
